JOB PURPOSE

The role of the Business Analyst includes providing reporting on business intelligence so that key stakeholders can drive the continued growth of the business. The Business Analyst is also responsible for becoming the SME in various systems in order to ensure the successful implementation of such to enhance the operations of the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement reporting and systems used for the optimized operations of the business units
  • Play a key role in applying business intelligence to better understand customer segments, behaviour, and opportunities
  • Deliver robust customer analytics and insights so that the company will be empowered to enhance customer experience and build share of wallet
  • Focus on feature engineering, build predictive models and deploying machine learning algorithms
  • Comfortable in learning and understanding business goals into analytical problems.
  • Create complex data models using SQL to meet any ad hoc requests.
  • Using advanced analytical methods to explore and extract additional data value from the portfolio.
  • Work to consolidate disparate data management processes into a common enterprise data warehouse critical in delivering management information and analytics to business stakeholders
  • Integrate data sources, allows for efficient information delivery, and facilitates business analysis and opportunity identification
  • Ensure data requirements of business stakeholders are communicated and delivered
  • Through complete understanding of business logic and process interdependencies and detailed impact analyses, recommend appropriate/alternative and efficient solutions
  • Participate in the development and implementation of existing and new strategies for major business applications and ongoing system operations while identifying alternatives in tune with industry standards
  • Prepare, and may participate in delivery and/or presentation of financial information to various stakeholders including, management, executives, business units, board members and auditors
  • Identify opportunities for automation/streamlining and process improvements to improve efficiencies and to increase productivity in workflows
  • Design and documents current/future state enabled solutions and drives all relevant business analysis to ensure the most effective recommendations are made for successful solution and project plan completion
  • Translate business requirements into functional requirements with an aptitude for interpreting technical documentation as well as authoring or updating documents as needed
  • Consult with managers and suggest best practices on the use of various systems and processes
  • Manage the development and deployment of various system improvements
  • Maintain knowledge of financial services in order to provide insight into drivers of financial performance to better understand the operations of the business

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong Core Competency in SQL, Tableau/Power BI, and Python.
  • Experience working with Relational Database Management System.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience with data analytics and visualization.
  • Strong integrity, professionalism and work ethic without sacrificing your ability to have fun on the job
  • Results driven and action oriented
  • Advanced ability to manage and prioritize a complex workload while adhering to performance goals
  • University degree in a related field (Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Commerce, or Finance)
